No bumps or anything, the computer just suddenly turned off. After that, when I try to turn it on, the cpu fan spins and instantly stops...
But after that, to make the fan spin for another instant, I need to "turn it off" again. Meaning, I need to hold the power button for some seconds as if i wanted to foce the computer off, even when it is already off. Otherwise, the fan doesnt react.
The LED in the motherboard is on, so it gets power.
The 4 pin power connectors of the psu are dead except for those short instants when the fan spins.
amd 64 3000+ processor. I hope you dont need the motherboard model (asus something) cause i dont know it and i cant see it now, and its nice to avoid unplugging everything to search for a label
hehe
any hypothesis that fits the symptoms? how should I proceed, doctors?
thanks a lot!
