BleepingComputer.com: Outlook 2007 Sending Mail Problem

Hello,
I have Outlook 2007 installed on my laptop. The OS is Windows XP SP2. Some days back I had also downloaded the Microsoft update for SP3.
My problem is whenever I try to send mails from my outlook, it gives takes a long time to send/receive and finally gives and error message and does not send the mail. Please help.
Details of the error message

'Task Stumail - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B): 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)'

Hi piyushpanda, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

I would do exactly what the error message has suggested. I would contact your ISP and see if they are having a problem with their email server, if not see if they can help you find out if you have a problem with your settings. To see if you are making contact with them you can ping your ISP. Go to Start> Run, and in the box type in the word ping, set a space and then type in you ISP, example alldial.net. A page will appear in black with white lettering with something like Pinging (your ISP and its address) with 32 bytes of data:, and then there should be three replys which will show it is from the same address, and will show that it recognized the 32 bytes, and show the time that it took, example: time= 336ms.

The link you have given talks about problems in Office XP, not Office 2007..... Please, if you find similar information, for Office 2007, do post it....

I have this error when my I-net connection fails or simply breaks for a short time. So, I would still contact administrator or provider if the error persists.
