Check out the themes now in Gmail. Click on the settings tab and choose the theme tab.
Lots of choices.

Had to click on NEWER VERSION next to SETTINGS to get the Themes Tab. (Never even noticed that tab before, LOL.)

I chose the one named "Sunset". Similar colors to my Ubuntu theme. Matches my drapes, too. :thumbsup:

In case someone reading my first post and is unable to find the themes, the site that I was reading about it on says it might not be available to everyone, depending on server locations, for 2 or 3 days.
