Please could someone answer this quick question..

I just restored my computer. And I really want messenger plus live but I'm just wondering will it do a lot of damage to my computer? If I dont install the sponsor.. cos I never install that..

Thanks.

It's the sponsors that cause the damage.

Messenger Plus Live is okay but people are already using its functionality to exploit vulnerabilities in the program. Recently a script was added by a user which downloaded malware onto MPL users.

It's probably as safe or more safe than using Windows operating systems though

Yeah I heard bout the script thing.. but that's only if you purposely download the scripts isnt it? Do antivirus/spyware detect messenger plus as suspicious or whatever?

If you don't install any of the optional sponsors' wares then the program itself is okay but antiviruses may flag it because they know that the bundled software is known to be malicious. MPL itself is safe though.
