Couldn't update with Windows Update because something is forbidding me from turning on Automatic Updates (tried using services.msc to do this, didn't work either). I get SO many popups from various websites, can't really remember any names. Tried everything in my ability, even used my recovery disc and the thing still came back to me. Hoping to get some help. Hi,
A question first... Is your Antivirus up to date? Because as far as I know it should be able to detect and remove the malware you are dealing with. That's why I suspect you're still using a trial and that one already expired. Please let me know if this is the case. * Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly. -------------------- AntispywareScanners---Antivirus Scanners---Firewalls---Online Scanners---Prevention---Help! My antivirus is a 3 month trial, but it is up to date, and I've also tried Trend Micro's Housecall. TROJ_AGENT.APJN was picked up by housecall but couldn't be quarentined and for some reason it wouldn't delete it. I've tried a few different programs and nothing has been able to pick up the others. I finally got Deewoo Network Manager and Advertisement Service removed from my add/remove program list. There's stuff still showing up in my Startup, but I do have them disabled. The files showing up in Startup that I know aren't supposed to be there are mcntkkdm.exe and dwwnw64r.exe, both in the system32 file. Nothing is showing up in Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, so I may have gotten rid of the things myself? But they're still showing up in Startup..

Hi,
QUOTE My antivirus is a 3 month trial, but it is up to date Ok, don't forget to purchase it after the trial has expired or replace it with a free Antivirus, because once the trial expires, you won't be protected against latest threats.Just one leftover you have to fix in HijackThis, so start HijackThis, click scan and check next entry in it: O20 - AppInit_DLLs: ithhhg.dll Then click the fix checked button below. QUOTE Nothing is showing up in Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, so I may have gotten rid of the things myself? But they're still showing up in Startup.. I don't know if you have disabled it via msconfig, because I don't see these entries in your startup anymore (according to your HijackThislog). In anyway, MalwareBytes normally detects and removes this one, and since the MalwareBytes scan comes up clean now, the infection should be gone.In case you did disable it via msconfig, then it's normal that the HijackThislog won't show it. In that case, enable it again via msconfig and then check and fix next entries in your log, since they will reappear there again: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [prunnet] "C:\WINDOWS\system32\prunnet.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{16-62-2F-F5-DW}] C:\windows\system32\dwwnw64r.exe DWmmm01 O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ExploreUpdSched] C:\WINDOWS\system32\mcntkkdm.exe DWmmm01 O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [prunnet] "C:\WINDOWS\system32\prunnet.exe" O4 - Startup: Deewoo.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\system32\mcntkkdm.exe O4 - Startup: DW_Start.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwwnw64r.exe Let me know in your next reply how things are now. -------------------- AntispywareScanners---Antivirus Scanners---Firewalls---Online Scanners---Prevention---Help!
