DVD to Web

I have a dvd of a home made video. I want to put it on a webpage. What do you guys recommend for a good DVD Ripping software and a file format that will keep the file size relativly low and the quaility high.

I would suggest Xvid as the codec.
Not sure about the software for that...I use ffmpeg on Linux. :thumbsup:

Or do you want it to stream? That will be a whole lot more complicated...
