The old PIII's were good overclockers.
Depending on what your multiplier is you can easily get it to over 1 ghz with no extra heat. The heat only comes along when you have to up the v-core (give the cpu more volts)

I remember getting around the 1ghz mark, maybe a tad more. That line of PIIIs were about maxed out, and I think there was only one higher bin. If you have good cooling you can crank the voltage on it and cross your fingers. Anything over 1050mhz, well, my hat is off to you.

That is impressive. I think most of my problem was using that BX chipset (which never had "official" 133 fsb support). After that I jumped to AMD for a few years.

You might (might ) be able to use gigabytes Easy tune.. But I do not know. You could try it though. Dont push that ship to far though! Start slow. If the FSB is 133 go to 134 first then 135 etc.. This is the way to get a higher "stable" overclock.

EDIT: If adventurous, flash the BIOS to the Gigabyte factory board that has overclock options. You might brick it, but it would be neat to try.

Just try easy tune.
If you flash the BIOS with the wrong BIOS it will be a dead weight.
Unless you are just experimenting with it?

Try this one...ClockGen
In Order To Overclock It You Have To Find The PC's PLL# It Should Be Located Next To The RAM Slots... But Be Warned That This OC Tool Doesn't Have A AGP, PCI Lock
So When you Overclock It Will Overclock The AGP And PCI Slots. Like Video Card's, Sound Cards's Modem's etc
