My Vista/IE laptop is working great and internet works perfectly fine. The only trouble is that when I use a search engine, it entirely freezes up. I can get to the yahoo or google page just fine, type in my search word, and it takes me right to the results page. Then it completely freezes. The curser moves, but nothing else at all works. Can't click links, can't go back, nothing.

So far, I have cleared the cache, run a full scan, downloaded lavasoft adware and done that scan and restarted after each of these efforts. Still the same problem.

Any ideas?

Have you tried a different browser? I'm assuming you are using IE7. You may want to try FireFox

If that doesn't work, just wait for a more knowledgeable person to reply.
