It could be very worthwhile having a tutorial on Comodo Internet Security (CIS)
I feel sure that within the next year it will be the leading security software
Regards

I agree that CIS is continually improving and is becoming a "force to reckon with" in the competitive security field. I run it myself and love it. I also think the world of the folks here at BC and what they do for we less-savvy computer users. Their many talents and endless ability to draft up some of the best tutorials I've found on the net simply astounds me with each new one I read. But I think product-specific tutorials may be better covered (and with more product-specific technical aspects) on the dedicated software forums. Their more intimate knowledge of the inner-workings of their product allow a more thorough treatment of the subject. See the permanent posts atop this page of Comodo CIS forums, for example. It would kinda be like reinventing the wheel to put such a tutorial here on BC, I think. I have found these Comodo Important Topics posts most helpful & quite comprehensive. I refer back to them often, even though I have been using CFP and then CIS for some time now.

The time required to draft tutorials is immense. I know, I've done them. We members should never lose sight of the fact that BC helpers are volunteers and have other lives outside BC. They are very busy with the thousands of pc help requests on this forum. Personally, I would much prefer their talents and time be utilized there, helping individual users with questions, crashed systems and virus/malware issues and the like.

For self edification, I post & read a wide variety of questions here. However, I invariably go to the specific software product forums for details on how to install, configure and use their product. Not that BC folks can't do it, but they have "more important fish to fry" when Comodo (or another SW firm) has already done this.

No offense meant. Just my two cents worth.

Absolutely none taken as that is the perfect reply for vendor specific applications. Thank you for your wonderful response to an oft asked question regarding specific applications that have support forums, and are better suited to help members with that specific application.
