laptop battery probs !

got a new battery about 3 months ago, when i charge it up it shows 100% battery life left. when the battery runs down to say 52% left the computer shuts off like my battery is dead . and it shows about 50% left before it goes dead everytime, what is causing the computer to tur off if i have 50% of my battery left, and thoughts guys ?? thanks alot

Is it a factory replacement or an after-market one? Have you checked all of your settings in Power Options?

its an after market !! hadnt looked at the settings
