Hey - you guys seem to know whats going on in the bios - i have a real problem on my hands - i have an old tangent with 128 rambus with a filler stick thing for the other slot - i bought a 256 stick for it. I booted it up after i installed it and it had an error - so i went to mess around in the bios to see if i could get it to work.....and i realize that i set the ram speed to 400mhz - and as i am told now that type of ram only goed to like 100mhz or somethng like that - now my computer just beeps on startup and does nothing - can you guys help me?[SIZE=7][SIZE=14][SIZE=7]

Hi kingmirin and welcome to BC

Go back into the bios and look for "Restore Bios Defaults". That should allow you to boot. If its an older computer your Ram speed would be 100Mhz or 133 for SDRam. Edo would be 66Mhz? If neccessary put the old ram back in for now.

Post back with some additional info on the computer and we'll see if we can sort it out. When you are in the bios see what type it is and we can get you the beep codes. It might be Pheonix or Award or AMI but see if you see it in there or on the first boot screen.
