Hey - you guys seem to know whats going on in the bios - i have a real problem on my hands - i have an old tangent with 128 rambus with a filler stick thing for the other slot - i bought a 256 stick for it. I booted it up after i installed it and it had an error - so i went to mess around in the bios to see if i could get it to work.....and i realize that i set the ram speed to 400mhz - and as i am told now that type of ram only goed to like 100mhz or somethng like that - now my computer just beeps on startup and does nothing - can you guys help me?

Humm did you take the Ram stick out and cleaned it?

If that dosn't work i guess the Ram stick had it's life sad.gif

well - its a new stick - and the old one was working when i swapped it out... im sure one of those should have worked
