I recently tried F-Secure Antivirus 2008 and uninstalled it after a couple of days because i didn't like it. When trying to install Webroot desktop firewall afterwards,
the installation process notified me that it had detected F-Secure 2008 was installed on my system and could create conflicts. I can't find anything that was left behind by F-secure when it was uninstalled. Why am I getting this message?

F-secure removal tool:
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/corporate/.../removeav.shtml
Also try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility:
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/290301

Open it and look for anything that refers to F-secure. If there's anything, check the box and run the utility

To Garmanma:

Thanks for your help. I wasn't aware F-Secure had a removal tool. I should've known; Symantec has one.
Anyway, it worked fine and was able to install my firewall without a glitch. Thanks again.

Glad to help

It seems like everyone has one now, even AVG. You just got to search for them
