Does anyone else have a problem with updates of AVG 8? Everything worked perfectly but now I get 'The connection with update server has failed'.

I have re-installed and rebooted but no luck. Internet connection working fine othewise.

Any ideas?

Same here...I'm sure they will fix the issue soon.
They have had this happen before...probably an issue with their server.

Hello.

Yes. Sometimes there is an issue with there server. AVG website is currently not available right now. They'll probably fix it soon. Had this experience before, they'll probably get this all organized by tomorrow.

Thanks for the reassuring comments.

This morning I managed to update the virus definitions using the manual 'Update now', but now I have the message 'Database update is disabled'. Is this likely to be a related problem?

I’m not exactly sure on that, perhaps it is related. Can you take a screenshot so I can see what it is exactly? Also is it disabled? On the Overview section make sure the Update Manager is set to Start Automatic updates.

Thanks.
