I didn't know where to post this so I'll just post it here.

When I press "Send Message" when viewing profiles, I get this error:

"You are not allowed to use the messenger feature on this board"

Why can't I send personal messages?

Note: Please move me to the appropriate forum if I'm in the wrong one.

OK, I clicked on your username and clicked "Send Message" on the menu that came up but I still got the same error.

When you get to the screen that states you have no permission, if you look at the top of the page, does it still show you logged in?

There's a setting I'd like you to check.

Click on My Controls near the center top. Then scroll down and click on Board Settings on the left side. Scroll down until you see "Personal Messenger Options" Do you have a "No" by "Disable your personal messenger?" If you see a "yes", change it to "no" and try once again to send a PM. If it already says no, please let us know.

It was a Yes, so I changed it to a No. I'll try to see if I can send you one. Thanks!

You may wish to explore the New User Orientation forum here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum82.html I still learn things there.
