What linux will run best on my computer,
It is a compaq Presario 1250 laptop,
AMD K6 processor
64mb of RAM
6.3 GB harddrive

I just want a graphical interface that i can put a music player on to use as a radio in my car.
I have tried to put fedora core 2 on there but it locks up when it gets 92% done formatting the drive. The hourglass is still turning but the drive has stopped.

It had windows 98 on it before, but i don't like 98 and want a small OS.
I have tried Damn Small Linux but it dosen't fully load the GUI it just comes up with random pixels lit up.

Do i just need to get some more ram and try it again.

Have you tried Puppy Linux? I hear its pretty small. I think you need... Did they say 500MB-1GB of space.

Also if you can get to the terminal in Damn Small Linux, I think you can run this.

I'm not too sure about that as I'm a linux pro... yet.

Puppy, DSL, and Custom Nimblex are 3 worth checking into.
