I'm having trouble uninstalling AVG 8, I keep getting the same message every time

Error: Action failed for registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows: creating registry key....
Error 0x80070005

Tried changing permissions using regedit, cleaning the registry with CCleaner and Registry Mechanic but nothing helped.
I googled about it and found lots of people with the same problem, but all of them happened when trying to INSTALL AVG, I wanna UNINSTALL IT!

Anyone knows how to fix that?

Or any other safe way of uninstalling AVG? (deleting folders and keys manually maybe?)

Thanks

I got a message a few days ago when attempting to uninstall AVG 8 but don't recall what the message said. The only thing I remember is that it stated action failed.
My solution-reboot the computer and start it in safe mode to try uninstall from safe mode.
This worked like a charm and the uninstall completed without a hitch.

Well, tried on Safe Mode but the same error happens.

Any other ideas?

Even though these are listed as installation errors, they may still help:

How To Fix AVG Installation Problems (Error 0x80070005)

Try the suggestions at the above link first. If there aren't any entries that have been denied, then proceed to follow the steps here:

Error message (AVG)

See similar (halfway down the page where using dial-a-fix is suggested) if necessary:
