Hey guys,

Looking for a wee bit of help here. Switched on my desktop the other day and it came up that Windows had failed and it was probably due to a hardware or software fault. It then went on to say that in order to fix it I had to insert my Windows OS disc and click on repair my computer. I purchased my desktop from PC World and never got a OS disc as the OS was already loaded on the computer. Any ideas on how to fix it without the disc and so that I don't lose any of my data?

Cheers guys.

You would have got a repair disk with the PC. It's bundled with it.

Did you keep all the manuals and paperwork? Check for a small square cardboard sleeve which is shrink-wrapped.

There's no way around this other than purchasing the Vista repair disk from Microsoft.
If I have helped you fix your PC then please donate to the anti-malware cause. Thanks
