BleepingComputer.com: Windows Vista wont start normally

When I try to login to Windows Vista normally, after entering my password it stays on the screen that says 'Welcome' for 3 minutes or so and then I get a blank screen saying changes have been made that are affecting the computer. There is a link that takes me onto a windows site asking me to validate windows. Other than that My screen is blank and I have no control of opening programs etc, I cant even open task manager or shut down without button. I am in safe mode on the same computer right now. I was doing a trial for Trend Micro Internet Security and uninstalled it because I disliked it. I havent had time to install/trial a new one so I do not currently have any anti virus programs. I cant run the Trend Micro Housecall scan in Safe mode either. I tried to install another anti-virus (Windows Live One Care) but it wouldn't let me in safe mode, and I cant do anything if im not in safe mode.

Edit: I got the Housecall scan running in firefox, I'll update if it finds anything

When you go to boot into safemode, does it offer the option Boot to last known good configuration?

It offered that option when I press F8 at boot, but all the restore dates (including last good configuration) were after I had the problem. I dug out my recovery discs and restored to factory settings, thanks for replying.
