Firefox 3 Address Bar

how do i take off the thing that shows a whole bunch of my visited websites when i type something into the address bar? better yet, how do i get the old firefox address bar thing back? it did the same thing, but it was better.

Have you tried Tools/Options/Privacy/and changed "keep my personal history" to Zero days? There is also the option to clear certain categories of private data when you close a Ff session.
