I have a desktop computer. I'm going on vacation and I won't to bring it along. The place we are staying at has free wi-fi. I'm new to all this. So my question is what do I need to buy for my desktop computer to connect to the wi-fi?

Thanks,
Doniell

First, you have to buy a wireless adapter. The free wifi probably uses 802.11b/g so you should also buy a Wireless G adapter. They should sell it in all computer shops. There's PCI cards for the desktop, a wireless card for a laptop and a USB wireless adapter you can use for both.
