Hello
Well to answer your question linux will run well on anything pIII and up no problem as long as it isint anything crazy such as Compiz or emulation( A keyston fro linux xp). So yes it will run, but will it run nicely no. What you might like to do is look for another lighter alt to linux xp and stick with lighter alternative's to the heavier software. The distro you might like that most considering you've just started using linux would be Xubuntu. It is a light weight flavor of Ubuntu. So that should be your best alt to Linux xp. Good luck -------------------- Working on my CompTIA A+ cert at the moment

It should run Xubuntu no problem as well as several other light Linux distros no problem.
The official Xubuntu web site is here: http://www.xubuntu.org/ You can get the Xubuntu Live CD via direct download of via BitTorrent from here: http://www.xubuntu.org/get#hardy The official beginners guide for Xubuntu can be found here : https://help.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/desktopguide/C/index.html -------------------- |
