Reading sta files

I am looking for a program that will read a file extenion of sta.

In browsing some default files of a game it only gives a number/letter format {2B0CD395-F842-4D64-A998-5F0F38338EA2}.sta
Can this be translated into a readible text?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appericated.

Have you just tried opening the file in a text editor?

Groovius... Thanks for your reply. Any suggestions on what type of editor I should use?
I used EmEditor and ConText and they only display symbols and some letters.
I would like to know what these symbols, etc. represent.
The file I am trying to edit {2B0CD395-F842-4D64-A998-5F0F38338EA2}.sta is a designed course but I am unable to determine the name.

{2B0CD395-F842-4D64-A998-5F0F38338EA2} is a GUID possibly used in your registry. Its not some encoded message. You can look for it in registry using Regedit.
