I bought a PC from HP (swear that I'm gonna build my own, next time), and have since spent a lot of my time removing all of the annoying little apps that HP shoveled onto the system when they built it. There is one program that I can't seem to get rid of. Hell, I can't even find it.
It's called HP SPD Application Module. As near as I can tell, its purpose is to try and open a web page about ten minutes after I boot up my system. I say that this is its purpose, because it has never succesfully opened a page. Whenever it runs it opens a pop-up that shows the IE "Cannot open page" screen and is titled the day and time that it tried to open. The only way to close this window is to go into the Task Manager and shut it down from there.
I've looked , but can't find this app's location. It doesn't show up in the control panel's program list. If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.
