From what it looks like, I don't think a virus or trojan is causing the issue you're having.

MSOutlook supports "Read Receipts", which allow a sender to see if you've opened a message or not. It preforms this transparently to you.

Normally, you can configure outlook to never send read receipts, but there is a bug in outlook that causes it to send them anyway, if the connection technology used is IMAP.

The reason you probably didn't notice before now is that spammers only recently started requesting read receipts in their messages once this bug was released.

Unfortunately though, that means it's an outlook bug and there's little I can do to fix the problem here. Delete all the messages in your spam box, and this may stop sending the receipts, but I'm not entirely sure there. It depends on the nature of the bug.

Delete all the messages in your spam folder, and all spam messages stored elsewhere in outlook, and let me know if it continues to try to send those messages.
