About a week ago, my wireless stopped working randomly. Decided to upgrade the firmware on it today to see if it fixed anything, but still no internet. Router is a D-Link WBR-2310, firmware 1.05. I have a third party antenna attached, and the computers see the network, but just can't connect to it, it just gets a "Windows cannot connect" error, trying to repair does nothing.

Pic of wireless settings:

Can you see any errors in the device manager?
Also, have you tried repairing the connection?

No errors in the dev manager, and repairing does nothing except tell me it broke for an "unknown reason".

EDIT: Having to reinstall Windows because of some problems *cough*roommate touched it*cough*. See if things clear up, but it may be a router problem.

A reinstall does solve most problems, let us know how it turns out.

Oh great, now it's not working at all!

No devices will connect to the router now, not even the DS.

UPDATE:

It works!

... If I turn off WPA. This isn't good sad.gif I had to REALLY boost the transmitter on the wireless to get it out into one of the other buildings, and because of that the signal is poking into the neighborhood near me.

Is there any way to reenable security? (WEP doesn't work either).

I can see the network, but can't connect to it (yes, the password is right).

Can you connect via cable to the router? Also rebooting/resetting the router to default settings may help.
