Firstly the braodband I have is 6 Meg. When I test it using www.speedtest.com on my laptop it works fine, that is you can see the dial move straight up to around 5 Megs and remain there until the test is finished. I have no issues using the laptop(win XP) But when i use my PC (win vista)thats the problem, it fluctuates around 5 Meg and then jumps up to 20 Meg which is impossible then back down, and back up again.It does'nt remain steady.
When Im downloaded it drops up and down, whereas on the laptop it does'nt. Its download speed remains in or around the same for the length of time it takes. I'm wondering what could be causing this.
Any comments much appreciated.
