Hey all, its my first post here at BleepingComputer - I work at our university IT Helpdesk where we see every sort of problem on most operating systems. In my journeys around the internet for the various fixes I found that I could trust any fix I found on here, so why not become part of the community?
What I am questing for: Good, free programs that are anti-spyware, anti-malware, registry fixes, rogue file removers, you name it. If you know of one I didnt list it would be fantastic if you could link it :D
The mainstays of our helpdesk fixes:
Combofix
Spybot Search and Destroy
Winsockfix
Smitrem
Smitfraud
ATF Cleaner
Mcafee and Norton removal tools
HijackThis
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Anyone have any other gems that they would recommend I use? We are seeing more and more people come in with some version of the MS Antivirus 2008 and Id love to find a tool to clear that out too.
