Hello all,

When I plug my Kodak Digital Camera (Z740) in the USB Port, when Windows XP tries to install the driver I get a message saying that file DcPtp.sys cannot be found.

I can't find this file anywhere, and it was not doing this before.

Anyone has an idea of what the problem is ?

Thanks !

Johnny

The thing is that I never needed this dcptp.sys file before. I plugged my camera into my laptop that I use at the office and it detected and installed the camera just fine. So I tried to find dcptp.sys on my laptop. It's nowhere to be found. My laptop uses also XP SP3 just like my home PC.

DriverAgent makes you pay ($) if you want to download a driver.

I sent an email to Kodak, but have not received a reply yet.

If you're using the Kodak software, I'd remove it and reinstall it if you want it. I don't even use it

Mark's right...I just installed my Kodak and the XP Scanner Wizard picked it up.

If you aren't using the Kodak software, the file is unneeded.
