i just spent 6 hours downloading JavaForMacOSX10.5Update2 and when it tries to validate the installation it just tells me "It could not validate the JavaForMacOSX10.5Update2 package. Contact the manufacturer".

Any ideas?

Did you use the Software Update or Apples download webpage?

Apple Software Update popped up on my screen and told me an update was available so i clicked install...

If youre able to, try downloading from Apples site.
