Ok so i just downloaded knoppix off of their website. I burned the files to a disk and put it in my computer, but when i load it i get this

Caldera DR-DOS

Then it goes through a number of boot sequences and
finally it ends saying

[DR-DOS] A:\>

My intial boot device is a cd and i already tried hitting Ecs F1 and F2

Sounds like you downloaded something else. You should download this:

http://ftp.knoppix.nl/os/Linux/distr/knopp...05-04-08-EN.iso

Its big..600+ megs. Save it to your computer and then burn it onto a cd using your burning software.
