So in this game you provided a equation with a varible and the next person has to solve it. and provide a new equation to be solved. Let's keep the variable simple and not something like X cause that is an mutliplication here since we can't really show multioplication with just a dot... Example: yanowhiz: (7z)-8 = 41 Person 1: z=7 equation: (25q+5) / 8 = 100 Person 2: q = -1.3166... [(15n) + 9] / 3 = 500 Person 3: n = 99.4 (equation...) So basically this can go on for ever (infinte), hehe So here I'll start it off with something simple 2p=100 hehe Good luck, and God speed! y = -.833...
that was a tricky one I had to get out my TI-83 to work that one, lol. Anywho... next... (9/4)x = (5x/10) + 35 Good luck. -------------------- |

x= 35 / [(9/4) - (1/2)]
x = 20 (5/2)k + (3/4)k = (13/4)k |

Correct.
k = -0.25 New equation... Pulling out the big guns here... ( 7! * Q ) + 3 = 60.615697068490954% of 37,421 Good Luck! -------------------- |

k = -0.25 is correct and can be also k = 2
Q = 4.5 log 10 = (123/789)*P This post has been edited by henryx: May 5 2005, 07:22 PM |

Your correct.
6.414634147 = P I've never really used the "log" function before, however my ti-83 has the button and used it. I'm currently on in Geometry, but I know more than Geometry however. Its the only class I'm getting straight A's in... New equation... ln(2005) * V² = 1710.764852 / V This post has been edited by yanowhiz: May 6 2005, 09:30 AM -------------------- |

And you are correct... hey what is ti-83?
V = 6.08 Next... M(sin 30) = [(0.5)N] / (cos 60) Note: M = 2N Find M? This post has been edited by henryx: May 6 2005, 03:16 PM |

Um... I messed up that equation it was suppose to be different. (V = 15) and that each side equaled 1710.764852. Anywho... your answer is correct for that problem (off by a few decimal places). However still close.
Your equation... tricky... hehe um... -N = .5 or N = -.5 ? Next equation... X^3 = (T * 2) + (tan45) T = ( pi * e)² Please do not post any homework problems here! This spoils the fun in creating and manipulating problems. Thank you. -------------------- |

QUOTE(yanowhiz @ May 6 2005, 09:34 PM) -N = .5 or N = -.5 ? Next equation... X^3 = (T * 2) + (tan45) T = ( pi * e)² N = +0.5 will look better, anyway it's still correct X = 4.19695661221 5F - 2 = log(base 2)2 This post has been edited by henryx: May 7 2005, 09:37 AM |

Ok I had to as my girlfriend for help on this... (I'm only in Geomtery and she is in Trig/Calc, and yet we are in the same grade level; however different schools obsiovsly...)
Anywho, we (um... she) says the answer is F = 3/5 -or- .6 Next problem. hehe i'm kinda bending the rules here, but I thought it would be worth a try... 3/5 are correct
TSA = 7,016.89792593 sq. in. QUOTE yanowhiz = hehe i'm kinda bending the rules here, but I thought it would be worth a try... smile.gif Lets do some probability, anyway its simple... There is a 30% chance of rain today. If it does not rain today, there is a 20% chance of rain tomorrow. If it rains today, there is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. What is the probaability that it rains tomorrow? |

Nope...
Lemme show you the work real quickly ![]() Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting See? Now my answer for your problem is 29%. This time I had to ask a tutor on-line somewhere, and this problem even confused him... (.3 * (.7)) + (.5 * (.3)) = 29% I hope that is right... My equation for you... (muhahaha!) If you have 10 books on a shelf how many different possibilities can you arrange them? btw: What is the highest math you've completed?
