I give up. Everytime I try to go to a new page in this site i get the "flood control" page and have to waste 20 seconds to get to the new page. This is the the only site I get this. Is there a fix?

There are only flood controls on searching and posting and that is common on many boards.

Well, as I said, I get the flood control on this site almost every time I change pages. Why would I bring it up if it wasn't a problem??

You go into the forums, click on a forum and get flood control? You go into the forum and click on a topic link and you get flood control? Please provide more detail. Screen shots would be appreciated as well. As I said, there is only flood control on searching and creating new posts. So if you are seeing something else, which noone else has reported, we need to dig down a bit further and see whats wrong.

Sorry. I should be more specific. If I am in my topics and want to go the view new posts I get the flood control page and vise-versa. I then have to wait for the mandatory 15-20 seconds for it to open.

Ahh now i understand. That view new posts is actually a search function so would fall under the search flood control.

Can anything be done about it? I had the problem on another site months ago and they said it was because my connection was so fast it triggered the flood control. I am on cable and download is about 12000 kbs.

Has nothing to do with the connection. If you use the link, or refresh it, withing 20 secs of the last time you used it will issue a flood control.

This may change in the next forum upgrade, but no guarantees.
