Problem With Internal Mic

Hey, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, and the mic is not working. the computer at this point doesn't seem to know that it has an internal mic...
So, it there any way that I can still bring it back to life?
i'm a complete computer idiot, so please explaine to me slowly.....

Follow this link and select which operating system you have (windows XP or Windows Vista) then download the audio drivers and reinstall them.
