i only have 3 games installed, starcraft, warcraft 3, and world of warcraft...

i have a 80gb hd, and it says theres only 23GB remaining to use...

whats up with that ?

hi,,system restore has nicked it all,,,,,, it uses 15% of all hdd space as default,,,, you can change this to what ever you want but i would recomend no less than 10gb,,,,
here's how its done,,,,

Even with many applications, Windows, and games, you should have at least 40G open.
I suggest you download one of the many file applications that report space by file. Sequoia View (free) is useful in that regard:

thanks for the help

when i check on shadow storage..
it said only 4gb was allowed, and only like 3.5gb being used.
i think more is being used somewhere... if u recommend 10gb for system restore, why does shadow storage only use a max of 4gb ? weird....

sequoia:
when i look at my files with sequia, i notice that theres a big chunk of everquest 2 files... i uninstalled that game a long time ago...

why are all those files still there ?
with sequia i notice theres alot of programs i uninstalled, and i remember alot of uninstalls saying "remove program and all files completly"... are they scamming in some way ?
when i went to delete the everquest 2 files, using explore, program files, sony, everquest 2,,,, it said deleting it would cause other programs not to work.
