Right, interesting problem for anyone able to help.
Vista Home Premium SP1
Had a small hardware issue that initially caused a reboot, which was corrected (Milk spilled under keys/on keyboard), and was working fine for a couple of hours, now refuses to connect to the VPN connection required for internet
Reports an error in eventlog: Error from RasClient, 20227 (I think), The message text gives a GUID style string, then The error code returned was 0 (Or occasionally 800).
Due to lack of HDD space and AU, the only system restore point is from after the problem occurred.
The Laptop also keeps trying to apply the same update, but I don't have the exact error for that one to hand.
Any help appreciated, as we're having a couple of issues regarding a HP US warranty and repairs in the UK.
(Laptop is a HP Pavillion that an American student has brought over here)
Any and all help very much appreciated,
