Can anyone help me out here please. Last night at 19.30 my computer showed on the start menu a shield for the windows update. On clicking on it to close the computer down it stated that windows would install the updates and then shut down. This morning on switching on the computer it went into Windows repair and thereis as faras we have got. Wecant do anything atall - cannot get into safemode as computer loads neccessary files then freezes ! Screen keeps coming back to
"a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"
"a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated."
etc etc etc
"If problem continues disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software etc etc"
"restart computer and press f 8 to enter safe mode"
THIS is where the computer stops and wont go any further. It is then a vicious circle that starts all over again.
I have e mailed Microsoft but am still waiting for a reply.
Is anyone able to help or give any advice please would be much appreciated
Thanks a lot
Graham
