Last week, I wanted to get rid of Office 2007 and Powerpoint Viewer 2007 on this Vista laptop. Because the uninstall program didn't work properly, I had to do it manually (via a guide on the Microsoft support site, deleting reg keys etc.)
I thought that everything was OK but after a few days, I got "Can't install blahblah, insert disk blahblah" error messages.

Googled the exact error message and it turns out that it comes from Office 2007 updates, that aren't deleted.

I tried the control panel -> software -> installed updates way; and I can see the updates (see screenshot) but I can't delete them.

It needs EnterpriserWW.msi which I don't have.
Re-installing Office 2007/Powerpoint viewer 2007 and then trying to delete the updates didn't go either because then, I got "updates not installed on this product" error messages.

Any help please?

.msi is for the Windows Installer service, which is damaged or corrupt

you can try to repair/replace it using the instructions found here:
