I have heard that if you replace ntldr and ntdetect.com files in the root folder of Windows 2000 installation, from Windows XP or Windows 2003, then it boots faster. So if you have Windows2000 installed on C: drive. Copy ntldr and ntdetect.com from the i386 folder of WindowsXP CD to C:\ overwriting the old ones. They say Windows2003 files make it boot even faster. I wanted to try this out. But first wanted to hear the opinions of experts. Thanks in advance. -------------------- Never argue with morons, its waste of time...

The only thing I know for sure about mixing anything with W2k from XP is you can boot from a XP disk and use the Recovery Console on a W2k machine
