Hi TexasAngel67~
I agree with you about the boy bands. I was never wild about BSB or N'SYNC or really any of them. I like Hanson because I like the lyrics and the sound of their voices. Have you heard their Christmas album? They have some great renditions of the standards and a couple of original Christmas songs on there that just make me melt. I love it and it's my favorite Christmas music... besides the old stand-by's that is LOL! Hmm, I think I agree with you about them having a 'comeback'. I wonder how they'd do if they each went their own way. Probably wouldn't matter.

Please do not listen to people who criticize or laugh about your choice of music. I love Elton John too. I do not care about about how he chooses to live his life. I just want the music and that's all I care about. I love his music. I'll tell you a 'secret' lmfao.gif my eldest son is named after one of his songs. Daniel. For that matter my daughter is named for Hall & Oates's Sara Smile. LoL Corny but true. Of course I didn't tell my husband that. He would have balked at naming the kids after songs. LoL So I kept mum until after they were named. Then it was a done deal. My youngest isn't named for a song, he's just Robert. LOL

Hey guys!
What am I listening to...hmm. I've been mostly listening to Hawaiian music lately. Don't know if any of you have heard of any of these (I doubt it), but I'll add them anyway: Nuff Sed, Sudden Rush, Leahi.
And I've just started listening to Enya (I know, I know), but it's really calming, which is what I need, when studying HijackThis logs!
I'm also listening to Blink 182 & Bob Marley.

Oh and Pandy, I love Elton John as well. My fave is Benny & the Jets.

Hey Pandy,
I couldn't help but smile while reading your post. I may have gotten my love for music from my dad. He's got tons of vinyls including 78's, 45's, and 33's. I can't imagine how much they'd be worth, all in mint condition. He just kept them for personal, nostalgic reasons though.
Anyway, speaking of naming your kids after songs, my mom told me she named me Diana because of Neil Sedaka's song "Diana". My dad says it was because of Diana Lynn, the actress, who didn't have many movies but was in "Bedtime for Bonzo" with Ronald Reagan - and he thought she was sweet and pretty (like me, I guess, lol). I used to date a guy who would sing that song "Diana" to me and at the time I had never even heard it before, I still don't know the words but I heard the song once or twice.
I'm a big 80's fan. I loved Hall and Oates and my youngest sister's name is Sara also.

Back to being on topic here, I'm currently listening to Evanesence, hits from the 80's, Nelly (oh hush, I'm still hip! lol), Trapt, and Linkin Park. Gotta love those multi-disk CD players!

Take care!
~67~

P.S. I have 2 favorites from EJ - Tiny Dancer and Don't let the sun go down on me
Pure 70's hits by EJ are found on Madman Across the Water or 21 at 33.

I'm in my 30's, I like different songs for different reasons. I'm not looking for anything in particular. I just like variety.
