See the second sentence, which hardly describes for the user what really happens:

"Download HijackThis from www.trendsecure.com. Run it, save a log, and post the log at one of the many sites that support HJT, such as spywarewarrior.com, bleepingcomputer.com, and temerc.com. Within a day, sometimes within an hour, you'll have one-on-one step-by-step advice from a security expert on cleaning up any infestations—or you'll have a clean bill of health from the volunteer expert." (Bold mine)

Maybe "someone" should E-mail the article's author and suggest he tone down user's expectations about the time frame.
Cheers,
John

I'll have to give that a shot.

I think we already get enough people swarming the area looking for help that don't get it. We don't quite need more advertisements for that area, do we?

Vaerli,

Cynical attitude.

Surely the more people that come through the door, the better people's security will be. Other than the HJT logs, this forum is incredibly quick for responses.

Also, why assume that it will be newbies that take a look. We could easily pick up techies who are browsing.

That's exactly what I did... and I was told that the particular paragraph in question was added by his editor after he submitted the article.
