I've a work laptop running Win 2000. Yesterday i got an error on startup - the following file is missing or corrupt.... SYSTEMced. Since then i've downloaded 2 copies of boot disks for Win 2000 professional (as i do not have the original windows installation disk or an erd). I run these through a USB floppy drive, however on the 4th disk the bottom of the screen reads 'starting windows 2000' then I receive the error 'Stop' inaccessible boot device. I'm not sure what to do from here. I'm figuring to be able to run anything like chkdisk etc I need to be able to get to the point (following running the floppies) where i get to selectrepair, and I can't get there. All of your help will be very much appreciated as I have a hell of a lot of work to do! Thanks, |
