Internet explorer will not open!! Shut down firewall still nothing,does Mozilla have something to do with it? Thanks

Internet Explorer Will not open

A couple of things to try.
Start menu. All Programs.
Set program access and defaults.
Click on Custom.
Set IE as the default.
Click OK.
If that doesn't work, Start Menu/Control Panel/Internet Options.
(Or Tools at the top of this page)
Advanced Tab.
Click Reset Internet Explorer Options.
Then APPLY.
This will change your homepage to MSN, which you can easily change back to whatever you want to use.

On the Internet options advanced tab I do not have Reset Internet Explorer Options!!

Hi klinger1, welcome to the Bleeping Computers Help Forums.
Sorry to hear about your problem. I don't have the Reset Internet Explorer Options either, however, I do see a big old button that says "Restore Defaults", maybe that's the Reset button that Queen-Evie was in reference to.
Maybe you could give it a go and see if it helps.
