Ok I am downloading freebsd from here ftp://ftp1.us.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/

Now do I need everything? Or just basicly the iso's and tools. I have a very fast download speed not worried about that just was wondering if some of it was garbage? Need some Unix edu..

Ok I still downloadign and I noticed, figure it was just aking forvever but I have downloade 13 gb's worht of stuff? I know iso's aint going on a dvd. I notice there is one for aa 64 bit os, which I dont need but in the ftp it dont show you the fll file name!?

ummm...yeah....13Gb doesn't sound right. It's only two iso's for two CD's.
This is the directory you want
http://ftp7.us.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ISO...GES-i386/5.2.1/
CD1 and CD2 iso image.

You can FTP it from there also.

HOSTFix only works on XP,no longer maintained

LOL Thanks. I was like man this cant be right and I still have 4 hors to go??? so its got to be close to 20 gigs of info. My isp should becalling soon, what the heck are you downloading. Cause on the ftp site I was downlaoding from it has 6 iso images. Anyway thanks raw!
