Hi, I recently uninstalled a game (Civilization4 BTS) or thought I did, and although it appears to have gone from my system, it's still listed in the 'Add/Remove Programs' list as a 177Mb file, but when I click on 'Remove' nothing happens, it refuses to go.
Is it just an empty 'ghost' thing or is it really sitting there eating up 177 HD space?
I'd like to somehow exorcise it, ghost or not, or shall I just ignore it?

Did you uninstall from the Control Panel or Program's uninstall utility?
You may need to reinstall and uninstall again.

Add/Remove can sometimes be inaccurate.

A quick look at the Program Files folder should tell you if it's installed or not.

See if you can use this free tool to clean up the remnants of the program (it's the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
