 I had no idea that Google was coming out with a web browser. It seems pretty awesome, but I don't know if I'll be able to bid farewell to Firefox.

Well I have tried it, and it is pretty and clean. However, I am currently unable to import bookmarks from anything by IE, it does not have very good download functionality, the privacy ability so touted is not intuitively easy to apply, and of course, it does not have---yet---a spellchecker.
I understand the motives behind Google's entry into the browser market, but it certainly seems that a far better product could have been produced, just as quickly, by collaborating with Mozilla. For now, it remains an interesting experiment, but no substitute for Firefox.

I too try it. And I liked it! I thought it was clean, lots of help, and FAST!
When loading sites and then loading pages on that site, it was like WOW
I thought it real fast.
I do love I.E. but, when chrome comes out of the Beta stage
I will down load it again. (I don't trust thing in BETA)

In reading some articles at PC Weekly there was an interesting quote in reading the "fine print" in the user's agreement that Google will compromise your security!

I'm sticking with Firefox!

Its still in its beta form, aii? I'd stick with Firefox until they release the complete version. Only then can you decide which is better..not to mention that Firefox is in its 3 version.

I've been using Chrome on a regular basis for the past week or so and I love it. I know it's not the recommended thing to do, but I switch between Firefox and Opera enough to do one task I figured what the heck, why not add a third?

One thing I have noticed as a bit of a glitch when using Chrome (which I hope they change the name), is that when I bring up my Web Interface page for my router (wrt300n) and try to enter the password and user name(and I enter everything key by key with capslock off) it doesn't always go through. Just a little annoying feature for me, since I'm still setting up my wifi router.

One thing I do love is the spellcheck, which I never could get to work in Opera 9.52

Until some of the privacy concerns raised with Chrome have been addressed, I will avoid using it and stick with Ff.

Been using it since it came out (its lightweight compared to IE7, FF, and Opera). real pleased so far. IE6 is worse IMO security wise.

That remark was taken not from the article but from a comment! The article didn't include it...The discovery of a poorly worded EULA was openly discussed and the Chrome team responded that in setting the EULA they copied and pasted from another EULA and didn't realise that the particular wording was included. It was promply changed. and removed so as to be reworded to protect your personal information!

I have been using Chrome and find it quite fast. There are some issues with the Java plug in though....something kind of expected as with any beta program.

Yes, I stand corrected. The remark about security was taken from a remark, but,the fact remains that there are security issues. I can't imagine the giant Google making such a mistake. Beta is beta,we'll just have to wait+see.

Already I installed and tried Google Chrome, but sad is that it does not have much features which Firefox offer us. But its looks and designs are somewhat eye catchy...still then FIREFOX IS THE BEST.
