OK, so a friend and I built a Desktop computer only a few days ago (everything was bought separately). Everything was fine the first day, I was using XP but then decided to switch to Vista for the DX10 feature and it has been hell ever since. I get random hangs (As in There's no other way to reboot the PC but clicking the power button) in-game for the next few games (I don't last more than an hour), and next thing I know, I started hanging even when I'm on my desktop even when surfing the net!
So I thought maybe I should just reinstall XP, and so I did. BOOM! Guess what? My PC started hanging there aswell! I really don't know what to do now! Any help would be appreciated!
Here are my specs (If you need more info, please let me know!):
Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium
Intel Core Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 3.38Ghz
XFX nForce 790i ULTRA SLI Motherboard
4g Ram
(2) GeForce 9800 GT SLI
750W PSU
Creative SB X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Series

Hi
.
Check your RAM?
Try each module one at a time? Then go to pairs?
Check the cooling system?
