I use widows media player 11 to play music from the files on my PC. I open my file folder and click play. I noticed tonight going through the headings on the player Library- Burn- Rip etc that the library has a list of stuff going back months. I never play music from there I always do as above and play from the file folder in "My Received Files". I looked but could find no function to delete the library only something which said " when deleting files from library also delete from my computer" which I don't want to do. I only want to use WMP11 as a player / viewer not a library. I did a search but couldn't find anything so could some one tell if it is possible to delete the library. I don't see the sense in having these files in two different places on my PC.
As usual thanks in advance.

pretty sure the library thing is just a catalog of the media you have on your computer. If you're talking about playlists I'm not positive how to delete them, I don't mess with them.

To delete a playlist, just right-click on it and select delete.
