Emergency Msg error on start up

Plz guys I have a Dell inspiron 1521 laptop with vista installed

This message appear to me when i start up my computer as following:
www.DELL.com

The Device in the system modular bay cannot be identified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem. Plz read and complete the following steps in order:
1) Press the device completely and firmly into the bay
2) Power off the system
3) Press the power button to retry detecting the Device

Press ESC to ignore error and continue

But i can not understand this msg to repair the error so i am waiting 4 your replies thnks for your cooperation in advance :thumbsup:

It seems as though you have swappable equipment on your laptop, such as a removable hard drive, optical disk drive, etc. The bay these devices swap into might be faulty or the devices themselves might be as well. It is also possible that the device has simply fallen out.

Does everything seem to be working correctly aside from the error message? DVd rom drive? PCMCIA Card?

The operatin system is workin good but my DVD room no
Related to PCMCIA Card im not sure how to verify it is workin or not plz im waiting for your reply

It appears that your DVD rom drive has come loose or has gone bad. Following your instruction manual remove and re-seat the drive and see if it starts working.

I uninstalled my dvd room but i dont know how to restore it plz im waiting for your reply

How to restore it? The drive should only go in one way; push it in firmly/carefully until it “clicks” into place. Enter the BIOS and see if it is detected; if it isn’t, then you either have a bad port on the motherboard or have a bad drive.
