I'm thinking of uninstalling AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 and installing AVG 8.0. Before I do that I needed to know whether 8.0 can be used as an On-Demand scanner[Like 7.5], instead of it running all the time. An also if it's okay to have 8.0 with Avast, I know 2 Anti-Virus programs on the same computer is something you shouldn't do. But I wasn't sure if this was an exception since I just want to use it as an On-Demand scanner.
Below is a list of Anti-Virus/Spyware programs I am using.
-Avast!
-Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
-PC Tools Spyware Doctor Starter Edition =[Real-Time Protection Enabled]
-Spybot - Search & Destroy =[TeaTimer Enabled]
-SpywareBlaster
-SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition =[Real-Time Protection Disabled]

Yes you can set a Schedule with AVG 8.0 or use it as a On-Demand Scanner, I use it as a On-Demand Scanner instead of the Scheduled Scans which annoy me on Anti-Virus programs.
But Yes it is advised to not use 2 Anti-Virus Programs but also your using 2 Anti-Spyware Programs but I don't think there is anything wrong with that. The 2 Anti-Virus programs might Clash together and cause System Crashes possibly so maybe you might want to uninstall 1 of them but it's up to you anyway.

It is possible to have more than one anti-virus on your hard drive, as long as only one of these provides active protection, and you can turn the other completely off to avoid application conflicts and sluggishness. Although I recently dropped AVG8, I remember that you could disable each module separately if you didn't mind the subsequent nagging.
Remember though, that very often one AV will consider the other's virus definitions to be malware, so you must be very careful to follow the path of the candidated file.
Since there are many good on-line AV scanners available, you can "doublecheck" your resident AV without have the problems associated with carrying another AV on your hard drive.

That's a good idea, instead of installing it I'll just use on-line AV scanners. I use Trend Micro HouseCall 6.5 often, I'll look for another one in the stickied thread so I have 2. Thanks for the replies.
